  1. Grown up in a harsh living environment, Charles Dickens worked very hard in order to earn the position and success he had. Dickens was born on February 7, 1812 in Portsmouth Hampshire, England. In his childhood, he went through many hard times and had many financial problems. Although he struggled to get an education and to support his family, gradually, he managed to obtain a good job, being a writer, and formed a family. Overall, it took many efforts for Dickens to earn the fame and popularity he has today, even after he passed away.
    Charles Dickens’ parents are John Dickens and Elizabeth née Barrow. John Dickens was a clerk in a naval pay office. The salary wasn’t very high to begin with, not only that but John Dickens always spent his money as if he belonged in the high-class group. At that rate, money was insufficient and debts continued to pile up. Soon, Charles Dickens’ parents were sent jail due to the over loan of money. Charles Dickens, as the second oldest children out of his eight siblings, was committed to take care of his siblings. Afterwards, when his parents were released from prison, Charles was encouraged and almost forced to take a job in a factory, which was low-class and had a filthy surrounding to support the family. His mother was the one who gave him education. At age 12, Charles’ father sent him to a school in London for about three years. Throughout his lifetime, Charles Dickens obtained several jobs, most of them retaining to writing.
    In 1830, Dickens fell in love and had a relationship with a woman named Maria Beanell. However, in 1833, this relationship ended mostly because of rejections coming from Maria’s parents. In the same year, Dickens published his first story and a few other stories and sketches following afterwards. On April 2, 1836, Dickens married Catherine Hogarth. Together, they had ten children. This relationship with Catherine was not stable. It was said that Dickens was idolized over Catherine’s sister, Mary. Dickens often broke appointments he had with Catherine for excuses such as needing the time to meet certain deadlines. In the after years, Dickens met an actress named Ellen Ternan. She was lovely, young, and slim. Catherine felt that she cannot compete with Ellen; soon, she left, leaving her ten children with Dickens. Dickens continued to soar up in his career. He wrote and published many books and stories to contribute to the world. Some books he wrote were Great Expectations, A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities, and many other books. In June 9, 1870, Charles Dickens passed always.
    Throughout his lifetime, Charles Dickens went through many hard times. He had to support his family by working for money, take care of his siblings, and at the same time, tried to get educated. He took several jobs, mostly retaining to writing. With his talent in writing, he soon obtained a career of being a writer and wrote many books and stories. Dickens got very successful in his career; his fame and popularity is evidence that proves that point. Although he passed away, his writings still exist in this world and are being read by many people. To this day, Charles Dickens remains as a very famous writer that is known by many people.

  2. Charles Dickens was born on February 7, 1812, at a house in the Mile End Terrace, Commercial Road, Landport. His father John Dickens got married in 1809 with Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Barrow. Charles Dickens was the second to be born out of the eight kids. John Dickens was a clerk in the navy-pay office, who was well paid but often ended in financial troubles.
    Dicken's works are about attacks on social evils, unjustice, and hypocrisy. He had also faced in his youth hardship, when he was forced to end school early and work in a factory due to financial problems. Later in 1824 Dickens studied at Wellington House Academy. He then worked for True Son, Mirror Of Parliament, and the Morning Chronicle by writing for them.
    He had a strong affecting for journalism and suspicious attitude to unlawful laws. He listened well and found cracks through peoples' words and reveal their true nature. His career for writing fictional stories started in 1833, when his short stories and essays appeared in periodical. His "Sketches" by Boz and "The Pickwick Papers" were published in 1836. In that same year he got married to Catherine. She and Dickens had 10 children but then were separated in 1858 due to the fact that Catherine didnt think she could compete with and actress that Dickens met. Ellen Ternan was lovely and young.
    Charles Dickens wrote and published many books that are still read today. Some books that he wrote that are still great are A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cites, and Great Expectations. During his life time he faced many problems and had to work hard. He had to support his family by working hard for money and also tried to get more educated.
    Although there were many hardships in Charles Dickens life, he became a very successful english novelist that will always still be remembered. On June 9, 1870 Charles Dickens passed away but his work will still be known here in the world and loved. Even though he is gone he is still considered a very good and famous writer.
